Supporting Families Through the Sponsor-a-Family Program

As part of Human Services Day, the Leadership Geauga Class of 2025 participated in the Geauga County Jobs and Family Services’ Sponsor-a-Family program. The class partnered to sponsor a local family, ensuring a joyful holiday season for a mother and her three children. Through their efforts, the family will have many gifts to open and will receive gift cards to local grocery stores to have a holiday meal. This initiative embodies Leadership Geauga’s mission to foster community engagement and support those in need.

Crafting Cheer for Veterans and Meals on Wheels

In addition to the Sponsor-a-Family program, the class collaborated with the Geauga Park District’s Greens for Giving program. Holly Sauder, Events Coordinator, and a proud Leadership Geauga Class of 2024 alumna led the group in an evergreen centerpiece-making workshop. These beautifully crafted centerpieces will be delivered to the Geauga County Veteran’s Food Pantry and Meals on Wheels recipients, spreading holiday cheer to local veterans and community members in need.
